Short Story: Us & Them

I wrote a sci-fi short story: Us & Them.

The theme is first contact:

a common science fiction theme about the first meeting between humans and extraterrestrial life, or of any sentient race’s first encounter with another one.

First contact is probably one of the most fascinating sci-fi themes, and surely one of my favorites.

I’d like to thank Peter Cawdron for giving me inspiration, and for being so kind to read an advance copy of Us & Them (and pointing out some typos/mistakes).

On a funny note, I wrote the bulk of this story while commuting, on my Nexus 5, using Google Keep (which very kindly decided to wipe part of the content as I reached the maximum allowed length for a note).

I have absolutely no idea if I’ll ever write anything like this again, but it’s something I like to think I’ll do, if only because it’s utterly enjoyable.
